PROJECTS

Vanguard Visions is a not for profit corporation created to provide wider audiences, new venues and independent networks for an artistic vanguard. 

1998 - 2000

              -       Curator/ Executive Producer. Vanguard Visions @ Cspace - an innovative public art exhibition program with performances.  Citicorp Center in midtown Manhattan.  

Artists Gregor Asche, Lloop, Once 11, Ken Butler, Chrysanne Stathacos, Van McElwee, Straylight, David Gamper

              -      Curator, Silent Auction at Workspace, New York City – 53 artists.

              -      Curator, Lance Fung Gallery in New York City: video installation by Joshua Selman and installation by Jessica Higgins.

              -      Curator/Executive Producer, architectural installation and performances, Rotunda of Low Library Columbia University, New York City, artist Ellen Furman, architect Gabriella Gutierrez and the Deep Listening Band.

             -     Co-curator/Executive Producer, Early and Late Stages of Organic Life - two independently produced exhibitions of multi media artists including performances at Space Untitled Gallery in SoHo, New York City.

               -     Curator in the European Arts Network Research Conference at Snug Harbor, Staten island.

2001

              -       Curator / Executive Producer, WomanChrist – an installation /lecture with cultural visionary Llorraine Neithardt, Dublin, Ireland

              -       Curator in residence for 3 weeks at Snug Harbor Cultural Center, together with Artists' Project (Wales) and A Casa / At Home (Zagreb / Milan) and 18 international artists to prepare Site-ations International 2002.

              -       Development for a 3-year multimedia project created by artist Daria Fain titled What's the Matter.  New York City and France.

1998 - 2003

              -        Curator,  10 exhibitions of digital and multi media visual artists at Ericsson CyberLab located at 55 Broad Street in downtown Manhattan, NYC.

Meghan Boody, Ray Rapp, Tom Moody, Gisela Gamper, Ken Butler, Kathryn Greene.

              -         Co-curator Site-ations International 2002 /2003 Artfront/Waterfront with over 30 international artists on Staten Island, NYC.   Exhibition mounted for 6 months with lectures and artistic events.

2001 - 2005

              -          Initiated ACE (Arts, Culture Etc). Monthly lectures, studio visits and talks around contemporary arts exhibitions and events in Stockholm for international ex-pat community.  (2001 – present).

              -        Stockholm correspondent / contributor to tema celeste contemporary art magazine, based in Milan, Italy. 

              -        Confinement and the art of decoration – (an international site-specific video installation exploring concept of confinement as a state of being in a society espousing freedom at all costs.)  Artists: Elise Martens (Oslo,Norway),  Caterina Verde (NY/Paris),  Gloria Zein (Germany/Paris).

(Premiere 2005- New Haven, CT).

             -        Co- Curator/Producer, Acoustic Transportation – (a project where the acoustics of one architectural space are transferred to another space in real time) –

co-producer, Oden Ateljé  (2005).
